Stephen is a wonderful leader and teacher. Feel so lucky to have him teach us improv skills that reverberate profoundly into other aspects of my life.
— Barb, Improv for Parkinson's participant

As a teaching artist, I bring my decades of dramatic arts practice and apply it to helping folks work and feel better.

I facilitated Improv for Work & Wellness’ first-ever Improv for Parkinson's workshop at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Since then, the Improv for Parkinsons program has grown to include 200+ participants from all over the globe. I believe that improv is a health behavior and presented on this topic at the United Nations General Assembly Healing Arts Week (2025) as well as at the Jameel Arts & Health Lab Boro Tour’s Brooklyn stop (2026).

In the workplace, I have facilitated workshops for companies all over North America, applying the principles of drama to team-building and creating inclusive cultures at companies such as TD Bank, Ford, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Duke University’s School of Business (MBA program), Amcor, JP Morgan Chase and others.

I also teach script-writing, applying the concepts of improv (saying yes to your own ideas, risking getting it wrong, channeling inspiration) to how we show up and practice creativity on the page. The play is the thing!
