THE PLAY IS THE THING!
Join playwright Stephen Sheffer (playwright of Lean-To at Pendragon Theatre in Saranac Lake & 59E59 Theaters in NYC) for a three-part workshop at the Adirondack Center for Writing that culminates in a scene night presented at Pendragon Theatre in Saranac Lake, New York!
Play your way down the page!
Using techniques and exercises from improv theatre, we’ll explore how bringing a spirit of play to the writing process can unlock creativity, deepen trust in your instincts, and help you generate new work. Together, we’ll practice saying yes to our own ideas, risk “getting it wrong” as part of the process, and tap into what inspires us.
No experience necessary!
Limited to 10 participants.
Over the course of three workshops at the Adirondack Center for Writing, participants will draft multiple scenes that we will then curate to present at The Pendragon Theatre’s brand-new studio space.
